Music with Ms. Johnston

Background & Education

Sarah Johnston was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana but has lived in Florida since the age of 7, and attended Manatee County Schools.  Ms. Johnston received her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with a special emphasis on Choral Direction and a minor in Theatre from the University of Florida in 2015.  Before teaching in her subject area, Ms. Johnston taught ballroom dance for several years with Fred Astaire Dance Studios.

Fun Facts

Ms. Johnston lives with her two puppies, Tango and Chacha.  Her favorite restaurant is Chipotle, and she firmly believes the cure to a slow morning is a soy white chocolate mocha from Starbucks.  She is so excited for the opportunity to grow and develop a strong music program at Harvey Elementary School!
